01 · Who we are

One team, start to finish

SmartLink Services is an enterprise systems company based in Karachi. We implement and operate the software organisations run on: ERP and SAP, Oracle databases, CRM and HRM, factory and production systems, secure environments, SaaS products and AI solutions.

Our work is functional design, configuration, data, integration, testing and support. On infrastructure, meaning data centre, networking and hardware, we consult and advise, and we work alongside your existing providers. We do not sell or install hardware.

Scope, stated plainly

Software, data and AI: we build, migrate, integrate, test and run it. Infrastructure and networking: advisory and vendor coordination only.

01

Software is the scope

We deliver applications, data and AI. Infrastructure and networking are advisory only: we define requirements and coordinate your vendors.

02

Blueprint before configuration

Nothing is configured before the functional design is signed. It is the document both sides are held to.

03

Documented by default

Configuration records, data mappings, interface specs and runbooks handed over at close. No knowledge held hostage.

04

Tested restores, tested cutovers

Backups are proven by restore, go-lives are rehearsed, and every release has a written way back.

02 · Services

What we build, and what we run

Choose a practice, then open any service to see what it covers, what you get at handover, and the platforms involved.

Full-cycle ERP: selection and fit-gap, functional blueprint, configuration, data migration, integration and post go-live support, on SAP, Oracle and mid-market platforms.

03 · Industries

Sectors we know in detail

The same platform behaves differently in a rolling mill, a garment unit and a public authority. Each sector page sets out what usually goes wrong and what the work covers.

04 · Where we work

The layers we deliver

Read the diagram from the top down. Everything in green is work we design, build and operate. The bottom layer is where we advise, define requirements and coordinate your existing vendors. We do not supply or install hardware or networking.

05 · Delivery

How we deliver

  1. 01

    Discover

Process walkthroughs with the people doing the work, plus an honest read of current system and data quality.

  2. 02

    Blueprint

Functional design, data model, integration list and scope boundary, signed before configuration starts.

  3. 03

    Build

Configuration and development in sprints, demonstrated to your key users as it lands rather than at the end.

  4. 04

    Test

Integration testing, then user acceptance with written cases and recorded evidence. Defects triaged by severity.

  5. 05

    Go live

Cut-off procedure, data load, agreed window, go/no-go criteria and a rollback point that exists.

  6. 06

    Run

Hypercare, then ongoing support, enhancement and release management. Or a clean handover to your team.

06 · Engagement

Ways to work with us

Most clients start with advisory or a fixed-scope project, then move to a managed service once the system is live.

01

Advisory & consultation

An independent read before budget is committed, with no implementation attached to the answer.

  • Process discovery and requirement catalogue
  • Platform comparison and five-year cost model
  • Phased roadmap and business case
Fixed fee
02

Fixed-scope project

An implementation with a signed blueprint, defined phases and a go-live date to work back from.

  • Blueprint signed before configuration
  • Phase-based milestones and payments
  • Documented handover at close
Milestone based
03

Managed service

Ongoing operation of live systems: administration, support, patching and release management.

  • Agreed response and resolution targets
  • Monthly health and capacity reporting
  • Change control and release calendar
Monthly retainer
04

Team extension

Named engineers and consultants working inside your team, to your standards and tooling.

  • Functional, technical or QA profiles
  • Your backlog, your ceremonies
  • Monthly or quarterly commitment

07 · Platforms

The stack we work in

We are platform-pragmatic. The choice follows your processes, your data volume and your budget, including open-source where it is the honest answer.

We are not a licence reseller, so nothing here earns us a commission. Where a licence has to be bought you buy it from the vendor or a reseller of your choosing, and we help you evaluate and negotiate it.

Partnerships and compliance

Enterprise buyers ask what we are accredited to do and how we handle regulated data. These are the answers, stated precisely.

09 · Client work

Client work by sector

Enterprise implementations are usually under NDA. Where a client cannot be named we describe the sector and the scope.

Manufacturing 01

ERP and plant software rollout across multiple sites

Finance, materials and production modules implemented site by site, with shop-floor confirmation replacing end-of-shift spreadsheets.

Multi-plant rollout · month-end close reduced
Commercial banking 02

Oracle database hardening and CRM consolidation

Privilege audit and encryption baseline on core databases, alongside three regional CRM instances merged into one pipeline.

Core databases hardened · privileged accounts reduced
Distribution 03

AI invoice processing feeding ERP posting

Supplier invoices extracted, validated against purchase orders and posted automatically, with only exceptions reaching a human.

Straight-through processing · exceptions only to humans
Client words

What clients say

Comments from the people who own the systems we build, run and hand back.

  • What sold us was that they argued with our brief. We asked for a reporting layer and they came back saying the reporting was fine, the batch data underneath it was not, and fixing that first would cost less. That turned out to be right. Our first mock recall after go live took an afternoon instead of the better part of a week.
Finance Director Food manufacturing group, Karachi
  • We had been through one failed implementation already, so we were sceptical of the whole category. The difference here was the migration work. Two full rehearsal loads before the real one, with a reconciliation pack we could check ourselves. Nobody had ever handed us evidence like that and asked us to sign it.
Head of IT Wholesale distribution business
  • Our cost reports used to show what we had paid, never what we had committed. Once the subcontract orders and approved variations started registering as commitment, the forecast stopped flattering us. It was uncomfortable reading for a month and then it became the most useful number we have.
Chief Financial Officer Construction and contracting firm
  • The team spent two days on the floor before they proposed anything, which I did not expect. They noticed that our scrap was being written off as a variance instead of recorded as returning metal, and that one change altered how we look at recovery on every press.
    Plant Manager Aluminium extrusion operation
  • Timesheets were the thing everybody hated, so that is where they started. Entry now takes seconds on a phone and the utilisation numbers are current rather than a week old. I can see an engagement drifting while there is still something I can do about it.
    Managing Partner Professional services practice
  • They wrote our requirement documentation knowing it had to survive a tender committee, and they were direct when one of our requirements could only be met by a single supplier. We would not have caught that ourselves. The audit trail design has since been through a full review without a finding.
    IT Director Public sector authority
  • Our first concern with FBR integration was simple: what happens to the tills when the line drops. They built the queueing and retry before anything else and demonstrated it by pulling the connection in front of us. Trading carried on, and the invoices went up when the link came back.
    Operations Manager Retail chain, Pakistan
  • Every vendor we spoke to said they could handle style, colour and size. This team asked to see our order book first, then told us which of the shortlisted platforms would need thousands of item codes to do it. That one piece of advice probably saved us a year.
    General Manager Textile exporter
  • The handover was the part I judged them on. Configuration decisions documented with the reasoning, our administrators trained properly, and a checklist we actually worked through. We run it ourselves now, and calling them is a choice rather than a necessity.
Head of Shared Services Multi site manufacturing group
